Cultural Fashion & Arts, the organisation behind the international Cultural Style Week movement, has announced the launch of Cultural Heritage Month, a new UK-wide celebration taking place from 11 May to 10 June 2026.

A unifying, inclusive approach to understanding heritage

Through food, fashion, art, music, storytelling and cultural experiences, Cultural Heritage Month creates opportunities for cultures to be explored and celebrated side by side in ways that encourage connection, curiosity and understanding.

While the UK already observes a number of important cultural and heritage moments, many communities remain underrepresented, and opportunities for cross-cultural exchange can be limited. Cultural Heritage Month creates a shared national moment where communities can come together to celebrate and explore UK heritage, culture and traditions, and the diverse communities across the United Kingdom.

The initiative builds on four years of cultural programmes delivered by Cultural Fashion & Arts CIC, including Cultural Style Week (21–27 May), which empowers people to celebrate and share their heritage through personal style and creative expression.

From soft launch to national programme

Cultural Heritage Month was soft launched in November 2025 at Hackney Museum in East London, welcoming partners, creatives and cultural leaders to preview the initiative and share early ideas ahead of the 2026 programme.

Following the event, a growing network of shopping centres, community groups, cultural organisations and local leaders have already signed up to host activities, partner on events or contribute to the programme.

Speaking at the event, Candy-Ellie Graham (centre), Founder and Creative Director of Cultural Fashion & Arts CIC, said:

“Over the past four years, we’ve consistently heard that people want more space, visibility and opportunity to share their culture beyond a single moment or community. Cultural Heritage Month brings that together, creating a shared national moment where communities can stand proudly side by side.”

A central website and national calendar will provide visibility for activities taking place across the UK, including performances, workshops, talks, exhibitions, fashion shows and more.

Organisations, communities and individuals are invited to facilitate, host, contribute to or attend activities — whether to share heritage and culture, learn from others, or take part in celebrations.
