About Us
The Cultural Style Week movement invites people to celebrate and share their cultural heritage through fashion and personal style. Founded in 2022, Cultural Style Week takes place annually from 21–27 May and returns in 2026 for its fifth anniversary. The week encourages individuals, families, schools, workplaces and communities to wear their heritage and celebrate identity in visible, joyful ways — online and in person.
Celebrating Cultural Heritage Through Fashion & Personal Style
Cultural Style Week creates space for people of all backgrounds to express pride in who they are and where they come from. Using fashion and personal style as an accessible, everyday language, the movement:
-
Celebrates diverse cultures and identities
-
Encourages cultural pride and visibility
-
Supports connection and shared experiences
-
Builds understanding across communities
From London to the World
Launched in London to align with UNESCO’s World Day for Cultural Diversity, Cultural Style Week has grown from an online campaign into a programme of large-scale cultural events, exhibitions and partnerships delivered across the UK and internationally.
Over the past five years, Cultural Style Week has:
-
Delivered events in cities including London, Leeds, Sheffield, Cape Town and The Hague
-
Created platforms for communities, creatives, designers and students
-
Transformed public and commercial spaces into vibrant cultural hubs
-
Reached tens of thousands of people through live events and digital participation
Cultural Style Week within Cultural Heritage Month
In 2026, Cultural Style Week sits at the heart of the newly launched Cultural Heritage Month (11 May – 10 June) a UK-wide initiative created to bring communities together through food, fashion, art, music and storytelling.
As the fashion-led focal moment within Cultural Heritage Month, Cultural Style Week highlights personal style as a powerful and accessible way to express heritage, spark conversation and build cross-cultural understanding.
Together, these initiatives create a longer, more inclusive national moment for cultural celebration — ensuring more communities are seen, heard and celebrated side by side.
We invite you to join us in 2026 as we continue our mission to celebrate culture, heritage, and style. Whether through community events, fashion shows, or online expressions, together, we can make Cultural Style Week an extraordinary celebration of diversity.
