Celebrate The Diversity Of Your Workforce With Cultural Style Week
Cultural Style Week is a new global movement to encourage and empower people of all backgrounds to celebrate their unique cultural heritage through fashion, hair and beauty!
People from all over the world are encouraged to participate and take part wherever they are by proudly wearing their cultural styles across the week of 21-27 May, sharing their pictures online with the tag #culturalstyleweek.
We are calling on all employees and employers to take part in Cultural Style Week 2023 and celebrate the diversity within their workforce in a new way!
Through sharing and celebrating what makes us all unique, we hope to encourage fresh dialogue around cultural acceptance and create opportunities for us all to better understand and celebrate each other and we need your help to drive participation.
Why Corporate Organisations Should Get Involved
Cultural Style Week is a visually engaging, educational and inspirational way to celebrate and embrace cultural diversity. It is that one week in the year when you can encourage staff from all backgrounds to wear and share their heritage.
By participating in Cultural Style Week, you can clearly demonstrate your commitment to celebrating the diversity and cultural acceptance of your workforce by creating an atmosphere of pride and positivity around traditional dress.
How Can Corporate Organisations Take Part?
You can create your own version of Cultural Style Week and bring cultural style into the office for one day or across the whole week. Some ideas are below:
A cultural clothing day where employees are encouraged to wear their traditional clothing with pride. For 2023, we have selected five amazing charities that participants can donate to whilst taking part
Share the journey through blog posts or internal staff newsletters and get to know one another better through the context of culture
Special talks/presentations about cultural fashion
Staff fashion shows
And so much more
Please get in touch if you would like to explore more ways to get involved.
Cultural Style Week is a Trademarked brand. If you plan to charge people (outside of your organisation) a fee to attend events or use our brand to apply for event funding, you will need to licence the use of the brand. Click here for more information.
