Share The Beauty Of Your Communities Cultural Heritage With Cultural Style Week
Cultural Style Week is a new global movement to encourage and empower people of all backgrounds to celebrate their unique cultural heritage through fashion, hair and beauty!
People from all over the world are encouraged to participate and take part wherever they are by proudly wearing their cultural styles across the week of 21-27 May, sharing their pictures online with the tag #culturalstyleweek.
For 2023, we have selected five amazing charities that participants can donate to whilst taking part. More information will be available soon.
We are calling on community-based cultural groups, projects and initiatives to get involved by raising awareness in their communities through inclusive and diverse events.
Through sharing and celebrating what makes us all unique, we hope to encourage fresh dialogue around cultural acceptance and create opportunities for us all to better understand and celebrate each other and we need your help to drive participation.
How you can take part
Are you a community-based cultural group, project or initiative whose primary aim is to help people from specific/diverse communities feel celebrated and supported? Cultural Style Week is an opportunity to do just that by celebrating the richness of the cultural diversity of everyone by encouraging them to share and wear their cultural heritage.
We are encouraging community based groups to open up their community space and allow people from the wider community to come and learn more about their cultural ideals of beauty.
This can include:
Talks and workshops about cultural fashion
Community fashion shows
Pop-ups for cultural fashion and beauty accessories
Please get in touch if you would like to explore more ways to get involved.
Cultural Style Week is a Trademarked brand. If you plan to charge people to attend events or use our brand to apply for event funding, you will need to licence the use of the brand. Click here for more information.
