Eid On The Square - Afghan Fashion & Dance Showcase

Now in its 18th year, the Mayor of London’s free, annual festival once again welcomes Londoners and visitors to the capital’s iconic Trafalgar Square to celebrate the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.

Supporting the Mayor’s ‘Building a better London for everyone’ campaign, this year’s theme focuses on family, education, and innovation with an exhilarating lineup of acts on the main stage alongside a host of activities across the Square celebrating London’s diverse Muslim communities through displays of arts, cultural exhibits, poetry, music, dance, drama, fashion, and story-telling.

In partnership with Cultural Fashion and Arts we are proud to present an Afghan cultural fashion and dance showcase hosted by Afghan Cultural Lead, Ariana Abawe.

At the event, Londoners can also enjoy a feast of food stalls from around the Muslim world.

Supported by the Eid Community Advisory Group and developed in partnership with London-based arts, culture, and grassroots Muslim organisations this vibrant festival brings communities, families, and friends together to enjoy Eid Al Fitr.
